Mary's Flower Superhead - Sway [Shift, 2010]

They started playing under the current line up in 2003. After three years of rehearsals, studio work and plenty of live gigs in Thessaloniki and Athens (Greece) they released their first self titled album in January 2006 from Polytropon rec. That album was clearly influenced by the American indie, post punk scene which was the main influence of the band at that time as well. Meanwhile the band was constantly experimenting on their sound introducing more groovy elements to their music. In 2007 they recorded two new tracks (Tokyo and No second chances) that created a high anticipation for the band’s new album. So in October 2008 the band started recording their new material and the new album named "Sway" is completed and realeased on the 1st of March 2010. The sound of the album could very easily be characterised as disco-punk since the disco beat, the groovy basslines and the distorted quitars strike your ear from the very begining of it.

George Nikas - How To Live In Open Spaces [Island Def Jam, 2010]

George Nikas is no stranger to music. Singer-songwriter and member of the popular Greek indie band Zebra Tracks, George has toured extensively in the Balkans with the Zebra’s performing at Greece’s Ejekt Festival (2010) supporting Bad Religion and Faith No More, Serbia’s Exit Festival (2010), Macedonia’s Alarm Festival (2010) Croatia’s Urban Fest (2006) and the Athens Open Air Festival alongside the Kaiser Chiefs, Long Blondes and Good Shoes in 2007. That year, acclaimed musician Brian Molko of Placebo was impressed enough to hand-pick the Zebra Tracks to open their Athens show in front of 7,000 people. 2010 sees George Nikas transitioning from band member to solo artist, with the recording of his debut album How to Live in Open Spaces. Musically, under the influence of indie folk icons Ben Harper, Jack Johnson and Ryan Adams, the album results in a collection of melodic guitar hooks, heartfelt lyrics and an exuberantly painted picture of nostalgia. Having come a long way from meticulously teaching himself to play the guitar, Nikas’ poignant and elegantly crafted song-writing have propelled him on a path toward his solo breakout.

B-sides - Story Without End [B-otherSide, 2010]

The band B-sides is the evolution of the music journey of a company of friends that started at the end of 1999. After approximately 5 years of live gigs, live club appearances and song recordings that group broke up. The two guitarists and bass player decided to continue with a new drummer and no singer. After changing their drummer and a few months later adding a singer, B-sides found the sound and personal style they desired and decided to get it out to the public. In December 2008 B-sides' first official release comes from B-otherSide Records. A limited edition 7 inch vinyl single entitled "Queen" in special vinyl mastered form. Another 7 inch vinyl single followed, entitled "Kill", leading to the release of the band's debut album "Story Without End", once again by B-otherside Records.
